Though it seems just a pizza chain, it plays an important role among the plot development of the fourth season. When Mike, Jonathan and Will were attacked by the military in their home in Lenora, California, their friend Argyle came to deliver the pizzas they ordered and was able to rescue them, along with a dying Agent Harmon. On the way to Hawkins they manage to rescue El, who was being attacked by the military as well in an abandoned silo in the desert. The five of them stop in a pizza store located on the way in Nevada, to make a "bath" by using the restaurant's equipment and contact Max Mayfield, who was in the meantime trapped in Vecna's mindscape. The delivery van and the pizza store serve as pivotal and recurring elements in the story, making the pizza chain’s visual identity equally significant.
